• GOLDFISH ACROSS AMERICA TOUR!!!

  Dandy Orandas has customers in every state of the USA. I know some quite well and consider many of you to be friends at this point. I've had an idea for nearly 20 years that it would be great to actually meet many of you in person someday. I've always had fish here though, so it's been nearly impossible to leave, even for a day. The decision to forego imports due to tariffs provides the freedom to finally make my idea happen.

  I plan on doing a tour of the Southern Half of the USA, starting in late February. That will include stops at various locations to talk goldfish, with video interviews of people, their setups, their fish, etc.. I already have several interesting places and people lined up, but am inviting everyone out there to possibly be a part of the tour. There is still a lot of planning ...exact locations, timing, etc., but I hope to piece those details together in the upcoming weeks.

  The pic below is a rough sketch of my tentative route. It is not exact, and there will likely be some deviation, but I don't plan on being in the north half of the USA at this time.

  Anyway, if you would be interested in having me stop by your area, I'd love to see everyone I can during this tour. And, you don't have to be an old customer...I hope to meet lots of new people too! If interested and close to my route, please email me with some basic info....

I was lucky to get some of these in my last shipment, but most are all black.  Just a few in this color.  Hard to find variety of pearlscale with TELESCOPE eyes.  Super cute, fun fish with lots of personality.

I’ve always liked these.  It seems that many people don’t appreciate them until they see them in person.  Also, this group of pompoms has been exceptional….imported with no stress at all, and have been active and super hardy since day one.  Very cute with orange pompoms that stand out in a tank or pond.

Hard to find tancho with TELESCOPE eyes, I have just a few of these.   This is my favorite….nice overall fish, super friendly and responsive.

ONLY one like this.  Phenomenal fish in very large size with striking color that really stands out.  Big showy tail on this powerful ryukin.

ONLY one available.  While I was lucky in my earlier 2017 shipments to find lionhead, I could only get one this last time.   Nice overall fish with super fat meaty head/face.

Eye-catching, vivid color and finish on this one.  Great overall fish with nice motion and balance.

Nice ryukin in calico color have been harder and harder to get.  I was lucky to find a few for my last shipment.  They’ve been a great group of fish.  This one has very pretty contrasty color.

Impressive large broadtail in beautiful pearly white metallic.

Hard to find, nice dark black color on this gorgeous large broadtail.   Great overall fish with lots more potential.

One of the accidental spawns from last year, this one is definitely a “bonsai” goldfish.  Over a year and a half, but still tiny, so not likely to ever get large.  Not your typical high-end fancy goldfish,  but I’ve really come to like these little fish.

Very rare to find in colors other than red and red/white.  Just a couple of these available, and this is my favorite.   Beautiful color and nacreous finish on this active fish.

This one is very cool, with short stocky body and really big eyes.

ONLY one available!   I brought in a shipment of these in July, and they’ve been great fish, but this is the last one.  I hoped to get more in my most recent shipment, but some of these fish are only available once per year, if even then.  Nice overall lionhead with eye-catching tancho marking.

I’ve always liked these.  Compact body with very large eyes.

I’ve been able to get some nice golfball pearlscale this year, but most are small.  It’s hard to find large select ones like this, especially ones that have decent motion and balance.  Because they are so fat and compact, these can be a little goofy, but this one swims quite well.  Big fat fish with lots of personality.

Spunky little butterfly with nice motion and balance.

Very pretty fish with chocolatey color on fins and eyes.  Super spunky and friendly.

This one is very pretty and stands out among the others.  More of a tri-color currently, with nearly pearl white areas, plus lavender/grey, and chocolate highlights.  Depending on conditions, fish like this could go more white, or end up with more lavender.  Regardless of color, this one is very nice overall.

So here’s another one from some spawning that happened in spring of 2016.  I really don’t have space to breed fish, but stuff happens.   This one came from a pond that had some calico wakin and tiger ryukin in it.  I didn’t even know it was in there until last fall when the pond was shut down.  Brought in at that time, it’s been a great little fish for the last year.   Super friendly and responsive, this one always goes crazy when I approach the tank.  Very different and interesting.  I call it “bonsai” because it likely won’t get large, so great for someone with limited space.
