This is the last Traditional Chinese Oranda from last Summer’s shipment. Nice big meaty head on this large oranda.

Last one from Summer 2017 shipment. Here over 8 months now, this one has a ventral fin that does not fully extend, but has been a good healthy fish since import. Cute and friendly, with red dot on head.

I was lucky to get some of these in January. They’ve been an awesome group of fish….very hardy and active. These are hard to get, and not something I’ve seen very often in the last 15 years. This one is interesting in mostly matt fish.

I’ve always liked these. Many times their proportions cause them to lean forward a bit, but this one has very nice motion and balance. Very pretty and unusual color really stands out. Nice overall young fish with excellent potential.

I was lucky to get several of these last Fall. They’ve proved to be excellent fish, and have also become super friendly while here the last 4 months. Called purple in China, but more of a unique chocolate color that really stands out from other colors. This one is extremely responsive, with lots of personality.

This large, deep-bodied fish reminds me of one of the first goldfish I saw as a kid (nearly 50 years ago). I haven’t seen any quite like this for a long time, but was lucky to get just a few last month. This one is nice overall, with beautiful color.

This is one of the best groups of blue bubble-eye that I’ve ever imported.  Stocky bodies, and great overall form on these bubble-eye that actually swim!  Many bubble-eye are “bottom cruisers”, that don’t get around well. These swim all over the tank, with excellent motion and balance.

I was lucky to get a group of nice large blue bubble-eye. These are some of the best I’ve seen….unlike many bubble-eye, these swim really well. Great overall fish in large size with beautiful color, smooth back, and thick body.

Dandy Orandas has customers in every state of the USA. I know some quite well and consider many of you to be friends at this point. I've had an idea for nearly 20 years that it would be great to actually meet many of you in person someday. I've always had fish here though, so it's been nearly impossible to leave, even for a day. The decision to forego imports due to tariffs provides the freedom to finally make my idea happen.
I plan on doing a tour of the Southern Half of the USA, starting in late February. That will include stops at various locations to talk goldfish, with video interviews of people, their setups, their fish, etc.. I already have several interesting places and people lined up, but am inviting everyone out there to possibly be a part of the tour. There is still a lot of planning ...exact locations, timing, etc., but I hope to piece those details together in the upcoming weeks.
The pic below is a rough sketch of my tentative route. It is not exact, and there will likely be some deviation, but I don't plan on being in the north half of the USA at this time.
Anyway, if you would be interested in having me stop by your area, I'd love to see everyone I can during this tour. And, you don't have to be an old customer...I hope to meet lots of new people too! If interested and close to my route, please email me with some basic info....

I hope to make this informative and interesting, as well as lots of fun! It will be hard to visit everyone, but I hope to see as many people as possible. It's going to be me and my three kids (rescue dogs) in an old RV for about three months. That alone should be interesting!
