Called purple in China, these are very hard to get.  I’m lucky if I get a handful a year.  Since they are produced in very small quantities the conformation is rarely as good as colors like red, but I find them pretty and they really stand out among most other colors.  Just a few available.

I was lucky to find a small group of these with incredible fin-type.  There are only 6 available.  Not only are they extremely showy orandas, but they are also some of the most responsive fish I’ve ever had.  Always responding when I walk by, and showing off their incredible fins.  This one is especially friendly with tons of personality.
