My supplier calls the glass scale, and they are very different than typical metallics. It’s kinda like a muted crystal finish, and it really stands out among other fish, especially in low lighting where they almost glow compared to others. Pics don’t really do these fish justice.

I really like this fish! I’ve imported small quantities of these over the years, and they are usually quite dark. This one is very unique and totally stands out with contrasty color, but with mostly white base. Great overall fish with excellent potential.

Truly incredible bubble-eye in striking color. I don’t recall ever having one like it. Black pigment is hard to keep on fish like this, but it has been stable since here the last 5 weeks. Regardless of color, this one is exceptional.

I imported some great bubble-eye last month, but there are just two available in this color. This is my favorite. Very hard to find color type in incredible quality and size.

These have been very hard to come by in recent years. I was lucky to get a couple last month, but only two red ones, and two red/blacks. Don’t miss out. Very showy with long flowing tails.

I’ve had this little fish for nearly a year, and I consider it to be a “bonsai” fish (not likely to get large, so perhaps nice for someone with limited space). Always super responsive, and very friendly little fish with lots of personality.

I’ve always liked this one in mostly golden color with random metallic scales. One of two left from last winter’s shipment. These have proved to be excellent fish…very hardy, super active, and quite friendly.

This is the last one from a small group I imported last winter. Very striking and unusual color on this spunky fish. It leans forward a bit when static, but has never been a head-stander. Otherwise, it’s super responsive and really zooms around.

Dandy Orandas has customers in every state of the USA. I know some quite well and consider many of you to be friends at this point. I've had an idea for nearly 20 years that it would be great to actually meet many of you in person someday. I've always had fish here though, so it's been nearly impossible to leave, even for a day. The decision to forego imports due to tariffs provides the freedom to finally make my idea happen.
I plan on doing a tour of the Southern Half of the USA, starting in late February. That will include stops at various locations to talk goldfish, with video interviews of people, their setups, their fish, etc.. I already have several interesting places and people lined up, but am inviting everyone out there to possibly be a part of the tour. There is still a lot of planning ...exact locations, timing, etc., but I hope to piece those details together in the upcoming weeks.
The pic below is a rough sketch of my tentative route. It is not exact, and there will likely be some deviation, but I don't plan on being in the north half of the USA at this time.
Anyway, if you would be interested in having me stop by your area, I'd love to see everyone I can during this tour. And, you don't have to be an old customer...I hope to meet lots of new people too! If interested and close to my route, please email me with some basic info....

I hope to make this informative and interesting, as well as lots of fun! It will be hard to visit everyone, but I hope to see as many people as possible. It's going to be me and my three kids (rescue dogs) in an old RV for about three months. That alone should be interesting!
